If you are interested in being on Sutter’s Award Winning Debate Team this year you MUST complete the sign-up form by August 30th. Both new and continuing debate students need to fill out the form to sign up for this year. Debate will NOT be a part of Club Rush. There will be a meeting for students who were not on Sutter’s team last year on Tuesday, August 27th after school in room I-1. The meeting should last about 30 minutes.

Cal Middle Debate Tournament
We had yet another great Debate tournament on March 22nd at Cal Middle school. SMS won the following awards this time and left undefeated throughout this season.
Sutter won the following school awards:
1. Most number of wins - 39/56 Debates ~70% wins
2. Highest Percentage wins
3. Varsity Teams : 3rd and 4th team were from Sutter
4. Novice Teams :1st, 2nd, 3rd teams are from Sitter
5.Varsity Speaker Awards : 7 positions in top 15 are from Sutter
6.Novice Speaker Awards: 11 Positions in top 15 are from Sutter
