2 0 GPA Rule Mandatory to tryout

The 2.0 GPA rule explained...

You may NOT try out for a Team if you have under a 2.0 (overall) at the time of tryouts.  We feel that each student has had ample time to prepare for this standard prior to knowing when tryouts begin. 

If your grades fall under a 2.0 during the season you MAY participate in practice but NOT in games/meets until you can prove that your GPA is above a 2.0 with a grade report sheet (prepared by the student/athlete) that must be initialed by each teacher and shown to the coach.  Once a student has dipped below a 2.0 during the season, they must show a grade report to the Coach every Monday at practice to be able to participate in that week‘s events(games/meets). This process will be strictly enforced. Each issue can be unique and the athletic director, coach, and the student's teachers are willing to work with the student to keep their grades above a 2.0.
