Math Placement Challenge Test Info

Placement for Fall 2023:

To ensure proper student placement and support each student's individual needs, all SMS math classes will be conducting a placement/diagnostic assessment for all students during the second week of school. 

To be eligible for future challenge tests and ensure correct student placement, it is essential to achieve a strong score (level 4) on the CAASPP (California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress).

Math Challenge Test Information Spring 2024

*ONLY for current 6th & 7th grade SMS students 

*** Current 5th graders of FCUSD will not be taking the challenge test at SMS. They will be taking it at their current elementary school. For more details, please reach out to your child's FCUSD elementary school.
